The question of what constitutes perk up is a continual debate amongst our society. Quite often, the general consensus of what is and is not raise varies amongst professionals, scholars, societies, and opposite sources. The definition of sex, therefore, is seemingly dependent on an individuals particular reasonableness and view of sex. Over time, our perceptions and judgments of sex break as we transition from childhood to adulthood and are influenced by a multitude of factors that accompany our individual life experiences. In modern-day society, most people are exposed to sex in various manners whether it is through and through peer interaction, influences through social media, or beliefs derived from particular ideologies or faiths. Still, many assimilate their first formal introduction and education of sex through a sexual education class at the late-elementary or junior-high level. Regardless of textbook teaching, many interpretations exist as to what sex is and what exactly it entails.




In hopes to gather a better understanding of societys views on sex, I interviewed a pigeonholing of ten people, comprising of four students and six parents, to represent a nonaged sample group. The responses from these interviews serve to show the general similarities and differences that might exist amongst members of our society with different backgrounds and ages. To achieve the most comprehensive responses, the undermentioned questions were asked to each of the interviewees: Does sex involve the presence of penetration? Is it totally considered sex when an orgasm, or an intention to bring about an orgasm, is undergo? Is lust, passion, or arousal considered sex? Is sex a strong-arm activity or can it be experienced at a mental state? Can sex be experienced alone or does it involve a assistant? Does the gender of the participants matter?
